We are still here


Indigenous midwives were the ones who not only took care of the pregnant women, they also held traditional knowledge which they shared with the community during rites of passage, healthy sexuality and traditional parenting. There are many communities that lost this traditional knowledge and are working towards reclaiming it. Did your community have midwives?
